The RailSafe Corner Safety Post is constructed from 40mm2 square steel tube, with a 200mm2 square steel base plate with 12 fixing points which enables the post to be screw fixed to the floor. The base plate also incorporates 2 vertical steel tabs each with 2 fixing points which allow kick boards to be fixed to the post. Anti-luce fittings for attaching the telescopic handrails to the post are situated at the top and mid height positions, on two faces of the corner post.
The RailSafe standard and corner posts, 4x telescopic handrails 425 – 2500mm, and the safety gate have undergone testing and passed to the following standard:
Assessed by calculation, and by physical testing by an independent testing house, against the requirements of BS EN 13374:2013 (Class A). Certified by an independent structural engineer that these RailSafe components when used as a system, meet the requirements of the above standard.
