Bricklaying and plastering are essential construction tasks that require skilled workers and appropriate tools. That is why, at Tiger Supplies, we offer a wide range of Bricklaying & Plastering Tools so you can do a good job.

Bricklaying and plastering involve working with various materials, including bricks, mortar, and plaster, to create walls, floors, and ceilings. To achieve high-quality results, contractors must have access to the right tools for the job.

Bricklaying Tools

Bricklaying is the art of laying bricks and mortar to create walls, arches, and other structures. Bricklayers use a variety of tools to carry out their work, including:

  • Jointer

A jointer is used to create the distinctive lines between bricks that give a brick wall its character. It is used to smooth out the mortar between the bricks and create a neat finish.

We recommend our Faithfull Brick Jointer. It is a double-ended jointing tool with a 5/8" radius at one end and a 1/2" radius at the other, which can quickly and accurately produce a professional finish.

  • Brick Hammer

A brick hammer is used to cut and shape bricks as needed. The flat end of the hammer is used to strike the brick, while the chisel-shaped end is used for cutting and shaping.

  • Sliding Bevel

This tool helps you mark angles for sloping window sills or rolled brick arches. But you should also use Tape Measures for straight lines.

  • Joint Raker

Scrape out mortar to a predetermined depth with a joint raker. This valuable tool allows you to remove old mortar before repointing existing brickwork.

Plastering Tools

Plastering is the process of covering walls and ceilings with a layer of plaster to create a smooth and even surface. Plasterers use a range of tools to carry out their work, such as:

  • Hawk

A hawk is a flat square board with a handle that is used to hold the plaster while it is being applied to the wall or ceiling.

  • Plastering Float

This tool allows you to achieve a flat surface after adding the final layer of plaster. To achieve a smooth and professional finish, you only have to sweep across the surface with the float.

Our Draper High Impact Plastering Float has been manufactured from high impact polystyrene, which makes it suitable for heavy duty work. We recommend this float as it will outlast conventional polyurethane models .

  • Jointing Knife

Smooth holes, and gaps between two sheets of plasterboard with a jointing knife. This plastering tool helps you work in larger sections. Its wide, flexible blade allows you to achieve the desired results without compromising smoothness.

Read the product description and make sure to choose the right tools. Having the right tools for the job is crucial for achieving high-quality results in bricklaying and plastering. It also saves time and money. If you have the appropriate tools, you will work more efficiently, and complete jobs to a higher standard.
