The process of remodelling or decorating a property can damage the stairs. If you are planning to make changes at home or in the workplace, you need to take care of the stairs, including the handrails and the joinery that can be susceptible to damage should they not receive the correct protection. That is why Tiger Supplies specialise in a broad range of temporary stair protection products.
Stair guards are essential during the renovation to protect stairs from scratches and other damage that may occur.
We recommend the Stair Protection Square Nosing which is an anti-slip, PVC, reusable product for the protection of square-nosed stairs. It can be securely fixed by pinning or taping and provides excellent protection whilst providing a safe surface to walk upon. You only need to push it into place over the stair and nosing. Its special 'ribbed' profile provides excellent grip. It is hard-wearing, 100% waterproof, holds spills and protects against wet foot traffic.
Another good option is the Stair Protection Card which provides excellent anti-slip surface protection on stairways. Simply roll it out over stair treads, cut it to size and tape it into place.
To protect the handrails we advise you to use our Foam HandRail Protection. This product is an impact-resistant foam protector which self-grips to handrails. You can apply it quickly by simply clipping it into place. It does not require any additional taping or fixing. Its thick foam will prevent impact damage and keep handrails clean for final coating.
We also recommend the Flexible Handrail Protector which is a thick foam tube casing which adapts to fit and protect handrails. It will shield your handrails from dust, dirt, paint splashes, and light impact. This product is easy to cut or form to fit the required shape of the handrail.
It is also essential to protect the joinery of the stairs when remodelling. That is why we offer Joinery Protectors. These products are completely versatile and have high-impact protection foam.
Our Joinery Protectors have been designed for the protection of newel posts, handrails, spindles, and all sensitive fixtures and fittings. You only have to push them into place. They do not require any additional taping or fixing and are easily cut to size. Their thick foam construction gives excellent impact protection. You can easily store and reuse them
