At Tiger Supplies, we offer a wide range of Sealant Guns to support painters, plumbers, contractors and carpenters.
Sealant guns are tools used to dispense sealant, such as caulk, from a tube or cartridge. They seal gaps and cracks around windows, doors and other objects. They are also used for waterproofing and soundproofing.
Sealant guns are usually made of metal, plastic or a combination of both. The barrel is generally made of metal and the handle is often made of plastic.
We recommend the Fischer Gun, which is a durable foam applicator gun with a metal frame and a strong HDPE plastic handle. It comes supplied with a range of nozzles and suits the 750ml Gun Applied Foam.
The Grease Gun - Leaver Action is a heavy-duty tool that can be used with cartridge or bulk grease. It features a bulk fill plunger and a cartridge plunger and includes rigid and flexible tubes. This product is compatible with Silverline Grease Gun Delivery Tube.
Roughneck Sealant Gun is a lightweight and economical skeleton-type caulking gun with a solid frame, ratchet action and an end hook. It features a quick-release trigger and a built-in nozzle cleaner.
Our Everbuild Professional Sealant Gun is also a sturdy skeleton gun with a hexagonal rod and reinforced ring and hook end, which is effective at applying sealants.
Tips for using a Sealant Gun
- Use your thumb to press the release trigger on the back of the gun to loosen the steel rod. Then, proceed to pull the rod with your other hand as far back as possible and hold it to insert the caulking tube.
- Ensure that the nozzle side is facing away from you and that the caulking tube is level. To achieve this, place the flat end of the caulking tube into the back of the gun first and lower the front end of the tube downwards.
- The next step is to use the metal rod to pierce the tube. The back of the rod should be pushed into the tube. The hook must keep the caulk in place, thus the hook should plunge deep into the back.
- To adjust the thickness of the caulk, it is often advised to cut the front of the nozzle at a 45-degree angle with scissors. But we recommend you check the instructions in the manual first.
- Push the caulk into the nozzle by pressing the trigger.
- Fill the crack with the caulking gun as it comes out of the nozzle.
To digest and remove uncured PU foam, we recommend the Fischer Expanding Foam Cleaner, which is a unique multi-functional product compatible with the majority of PU applicators
